Fighting over which games will stay exclusive to a certain console is all the rage these days, but a user over at the Sony Protection Group forums took matters a step too far. The poster, claimed that Cliff Bleszinski, Gears of War’s Lead Designer, was quoted as “threatening Microsoft to port over Gears to the PS3.”

Moments later, the post found its way onto the official Gears of War message boards. Epic’s head honcho Mark Rein was not pleased to say the least. His response to the outlandish rumor:

This story is complete bull****. I emailed the site and asked them to take it down. We’re very happy with our relationship with Microsoft. If it weren’t for them Gears wouldn’t be the huge hit it has become.

And there you have it. The bitter truth. Gears is definitely not coming to the PS3 anytime soon.
