Bethesda is widely known as a developer that delivers large-scale epics with gorgeous visuals backed by stellar art direction. Titles like Elder Scrolls and Fallout are indicative of these traits. Due to pushing the technology envelope, both franchises have only hit high-definition consoles, leaving the Wii untapped. However, Bethesda’s tried and true focus looks to be changing, as company European-based managing director Sean Brennan reveals that a Wii game is in the works.

Not just any Wii game either, it’ll be “really big” according to Brennan:

We are going to make an announcement on a really big Wii game this year, we’ve got a couple of other things in the pipeline, and it’s a format we’re really looking at with the right approach. We’re not going to establish a new range and call if ‘My Girly Game Range’ or whatever these other companies are doing, it’s so me-too and boring.

The Wii can only benefit from more core-focused efforts. This will be one to watch. Sure piqued our interest.

Elder Scrolls would be good on the Nintendo Wii if it was ported to it. I am excited for what this change will yield.

A Morrowind remake would be amazing. Doesn't seem like their style, though.
