Take three of the over-the-top, destructive-centric Serious Sam franchise is slowly but surely moving from mere pipe dream into a real tangible product. According to developer Croteam, work on the title has already begun, further noting that a publishing deal is very close to being signed.

We have also recently started the development on two games, one of which is the next Serious Sam FPS game. Here, we are pretty close in signing the publishing deal, so when that happens, you’ll hear it here as well.

It’s safe to say that a release date is still a ways off, but regardless, things are looking up for trigger-happy Sam fans.
