Eidos Makes Thief 4 Official

In what will likely come as the least bit of surprising news today, Eidos Montreal has made its second project official, confirming that Thief 4 — or Thi4f — is in development. Given all the obvious hints over the past few weeks, we practically already knew of the title’s existence but hey, now you can rest easy knowing that it is indeed coming.
No real details were offered in the initial announcement, only marketing spiel:
“Were in the early development stages for Thief 4, but this is an incredibly ambitious project and a very exciting one,” said general manager Stephane D’Astous.
“It’s too early for us to offer any specific game details, right now we are focused on recruiting the very best talent to join the core team at the studio and help us make, what we believe will be one of the most exciting games on the market.”
In the meantime, bask in the glory of the logo above. The official site has gone live as well, although only a teaser page is up at the moment. It’s a safe bet that we’ll be hearing more on this one once E3 rolls around next month.
