by Mike Bendel on May 30, 2007 @ 10:44 am

Folks, it is here. Guerrilla has finally released the long-awaited online patch to last year’s PSP hit, Killzone: Liberation. In addition to infrastructure play, the single-player campaign has been extended – now including a total of 5 Chapters.

To grab the patch, just boot up your Killzone UMD, then once in the main menu jump over to “Downloads” and follow the on-screen prompts for installation.

Is there any way apart from booting up the umd to get the patch because I dont have wireless internet. I'm still on dialup.

x3sphere says:

unfortunately, no..

Roe says:

Damn, oh well, I guess it another trip to the internet cafe.

Can this be done off of a mem stick backup. Spring cleaning isn't exactly helpful at my house for finding things. ie 3 of my favourite UMD's.

Junit says:

Yeah , happened to me one I brought my psp to vegas and 4 of my games were missing for about a year until I unpacked my suitcase properly and found them :blushing:

Cheezeball99 says:

I wouldn't see why not... I'll try it later and find out.

MenaceInc says:

FINALLY!

been waiting ages to play killzone on my psp online. :D

definately sort that out later after college

Junit says:

I've never played killzone before , Is it any good , I heard on ps2 you couldn't jump :/ a FPS without jumping doesnt make me feel safe LOL ..

MenaceInc says:

Goldeneye,Perfect Dark and the Timesplitters series don't let you jump.....i'm just used to not jumping in FPS games.

as for Killzone on the PSP...it's not a FPS proper....it's played from an isometric viewpoint with a 3d camera.very good game,i'd recommend you buy it :)

EDIT: i just had a thought....maybe this update to killzone could provide us with a exploit for a downgrader?...just speculation but it could be possible, right?

Cheezeball99 says:

A very astute, keen idea, MenaceInc- there's probably SOMETHING in there that's exploitable. Lookin' forward to this.

Loading Downloaded Content... *screen clears* Updating to FW 1.50..... :w00t:

MenaceInc says:

bleh....can't make much use of the update....i registered on killzone.com and was able to login and get my unlocked content on the psp and the pc so then i tried logining in to try an online match and it said the handle was incorrect.i looked about the killzone forums and it said i had to use the one i had on http://www.yourgamingname.com which you register when you get your psp.....i did that when i did get my psp yet i had to put in a PIN which they said i had been sent out by post....i don't remember getting any such post.

i've just requested another PIN to be sent out but this is really bothersome....i wanted to play Killzone tonight and yet i cant because i hadnt registered on a site different to the killzone one.... :\

EDIT: i thought i would try logging in anyway in Killzone and after i tried logging in,it said the handle was banned.....WTF?....hope its not pernament and only til i put the PIN in... :|

x3sphere says:

not a chance the update executable is still encrypted and signed. Likelihood of an exploit is the same as any other UMD game.
