PSP, PS3 Rock Band Not Interoperable

While potential definitely exists over connectivity between the PSP and PS3, majority of developers are giving it the shaft. This unfortunate trend will reportedly continue with the impending release of Rock Band on PSP.
According to information obtained from a Harmonix representative at a media event during which the title was shown off to press, 1UP learned that there is no interaction whatsoever between the PSP and PS3 versions of Rock Band. That means songs bought on either the PS3 or PSP side will not be transferable and across platforms, even though it is technically feasible.
It’s a bit of a downer, but at the same time not totally unexpected, either.
