D3Publisher announced today that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, the space-age edition of its Bejeweled-inspired puzzler, will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace on April 8.

The title expands on Infinite Interactive’s original hit and at the same time bumps up the challenge with an all-new 6-way hexagonal puzzle layout. To complement the move into the unknown, featured is wealth of upgradeable spacecraft parts, which can be netted by winning battles against opposing forces.

Galactrix is also headed to PSN, although a date has yet to be announced, other than the vague mention of “later this spring.”
