THQ announced today that Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, the latest entry in Relic’s critically-acclaimed RTS franchise, has gone gold and is in the process of being shipped off to manufacturing in preparation for its April 9 release date.
“Building upon the recent critical and commercial success of Dawn of War II, Relic Entertainment is set to deliver the next great chapter in the award-winning Company of Heroes franchise,” said Kevin Kraff, vice president of global brand management, THQ. “Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor strengthens Relic Entertainment’s reputation as a leading RTS developer, with an unwavering dedication to innovative, ground-breaking gameplay experiences.”
As a standalone expansion to previous entries in the series, the game offers three additional single-player campaigns, three new multiplayer modes and an all-new gameplay mechanic called “direct-fire,” which allows players to fight with greater control and precision on the battlefield.
