As previously rumored, Square Enix confirmed today that Final Fantasy IV sequel The After Years is indeed bound for WiiWare, Nintendo’s digital distribution service.

Also headed to the service is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord, a direct sequel to the previous installment in the series, My Life as a King. Additionally, Square will finally give the Virtual Console a touch of love later this year with the release of original NES Final Fantasy. This is just the start, too, as more VC support is on the way.
