DS Sales Hit 100 Million

Nintendo is well on-track towards reaching its goal of landing a DS or two in every household. The company announced today that sales of the handheld have reached 100 million units globally. This figure of course includes all hardware revisions to date, including the DS Lite and currently Japan-only DSi, but still very impressive. Provided the strong sales continue, the DS should break the 119 million record set by the original Game Boy and Game Boy Color line as soon as next year.
