It has been a long day for Bungie and especially Halo fanatics, but it looks like the worst is now over. Bungie has issued a statement stating that the Halo 3 beta is now finally available to all Crackdown owners.

Earlier today, more than 500,000 Crackdown owners were in a state of despair when they launched up the game, saw the "Download Halo 3" button, but could not jump into the beta.

To compensate for the inconvenience this caused many people, Bungie has decided to extend the duration of the Halo 3 Beta from June 6th to June 10th at 11:59 PM PDT. Kudos to Bungie for resolving the issue in a timely matter and for giving us an extra bonus.
