Valve Confirms Left 4 Dead DLC Will Be Free On PC, Xbox 360

Developer Valve Software just sent over a press release confirming that the highly-anticipated Left 4 Dead downloadable content will be provided free of charge to both PC and Xbox 360 owners of the game.
Due out later this spring, the content introduces a new multiplayer game mode dubbed Survival, plus the addition of former campaign-only maps Death Toll and Dead Air in versus mode.
This leaves us wondering if the promised TF2 update for 360 owners will be free as well. While Valve has always made DLC free on the PC end, Microsoft previously required that all major content additions were sold at a specific price point. Obviously, that’s no longer the case.
