Publisher SEGA today announced its intent to publish an all-new Aliens vs. Predator title in 2010. Development duties are being handled by Rebellion, creators of the 1999 multiplayer hit Aliens versus Predator.

SEGA also provided an update on two of its other Aliens titles, confirming that Gearbox’s Aliens: Colonial Marines and Obsidian’s RPG based in the Aliens universe have both been delayed. The two titles are now scheduled to hit after Aliens versus Predator arrives, which means we won’t see them until 2010 at the very earliest.

While no screenshots of the tentatively titled Aliens vs. Predator were sent out alongside the announcement, SEGA is promising to divulge further details “very soon.”

This is good news for us Aliens/Predator fans for sure, but honestly they haven't made a good Aliens game since AVP2 for PC....and that's a pretty old game.
